Location:

   6 miles from downtown Homer, Alaska; about a 10 minute drive. Far enough up the bluff to be over the tree line for a clear view, and far enough out of town to have peace and quiet. Also where moose entertain our guests often in our fields and back yard. Go out East End Road apx. 6 miles  Portlock take a left, go to Taku Ave take a left, first driveway on your left.

Special Activities in Homer:

    Winter King Fishing Tournament -March 22, 2008
This tournament has brought some fishermen from around the country and many within the State. Cash prizes awarded to the top ten winners and special awards dinner with ceremony following.

    Kachemak Bay Shorebird Festival - May 8,9,10,11, 2008
A haven for bird watchers and photographers who come from around the world - over 50 events and worldwide acknowledged speakers on "birding".

    Homer's famous Halibut Derby which runs yearly from May first through Labor Day, with weekly and monthly prizes, and for the largest Halibut caught for the season -

August - late run Salmon fishing hole Derby -   Silver and King.

    Summer temperatures range from 50-70 degrees and the long days with sun and daylight are energy filled and life transforming - to, we Alaskans, flowers and fauna, and the animals. Our wild flowers abound everywhere.

    Winter - this is the banana belt of Alaska - Homer's winter months average temperatures range from November 28.6 degrees down to 22.7 degrees in January.
